Meeting Facilitator & Action Tracker
Turns raw meeting notes or a transcript into clear decisions, owned action items with deadlines, and open questions that still need answers.
Meeting Facilitator & Action Tracker is a free AI skill for business systems. Turns raw meeting notes or a transcript into clear decisions, owned action items with deadlines, and open questions that still need answers. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and is ready to use out of the box.
About this skill
Meeting Facilitator & Action Tracker takes messy meeting notes or a transcript and extracts what actually matters: decisions made, action items with a named owner and deadline, and open questions that were raised but not resolved. It refuses to invent owners or deadlines that weren't discussed — anything unclear gets flagged rather than guessed — so the output is trustworthy enough to send straight to the team.
What it does
Given raw meeting notes or a transcript, the skill separates content into three buckets — decisions made, action items (each with owner and deadline if stated, or flagged as unassigned), and open questions — and produces a short, send-ready summary. It never assigns an owner or deadline that wasn't actually discussed; ambiguous items are flagged with VERIFY instead.
What is included
- Decision/action-item/open-question extraction framework
- Owner and deadline detection with VERIFY flagging for gaps
- Send-ready meeting summary template
- Follow-up question generator for unresolved items
- Recurring-meeting mode for tracking action items across sessions
How to use it
1. Download the SKILL.md file 2. Upload it to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor as a project skill or custom instructions 3. Paste your raw meeting notes or transcript 4. Receive a send-ready summary with decisions, owned action items, and open questions
Examples
Notes: Talked about Q4 budget. Sarah thinks we should cut the events line by 20%. Mike agreed but wants to see the breakdown first. We're still not sure if marketing spend should move to Q1 instead. Need to decide by next Friday.
Decisions made: - None finalized yet — the events budget cut was discussed but not confirmed Action items: - Sarah: prepare the events line breakdown for Mike to review — VERIFY: no deadline stated, recommend setting one before next Friday's decision - Owner unassigned: finalize whether marketing spend moves to Q1 — needs an owner before next Friday Open questions: - Should marketing spend move to Q1? Unresolved, blocking the Friday decision Deadline: full budget decision needed by next Friday
